Barbara L. Stone has been practicing immigration law since 2015. She started her career in the Metro Detroit area focusing on employment-based cases for physicians. Barbara left the cold Michigan winters behind to join Brelje and Associates in 2017. She handles a wide variety of cases including employment-based, family-based, and investor cases.
In 2010, Barbara graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University with dual degrees in English and International Studies. Before law school, Barbara worked as a legislative aide for the Ohio House of Representatives. She earned her J.D. in 2014 from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. During law school, Barbara served as a Note and Comment Editor for the American University International Law Review and participated in the Domestic Violence Clinic, where she worked on U-Visa, VAWA, and Asylum cases.
Barbara is a member of the Michigan bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. In her free time she enjoys traveling, photography, and hiking with her dog.
