We obtain E-2 investor visas for foreign nationals of certain treaty countries. E-2 status allows you to temporarily live in the United States and direct and develop the enterprise in which you have invested, if you are an investor, or work for the treaty investor if you are an employee. An E-2 visa holder’s lawful spouse and dependent children under the age of 21 are eligible for dependent status and E-2 dependent spouses may apply for an Employment Authorization Document in order to work in the United States. The E-2 is not a permanent residency visa, but it can be renewed multiple times.
