ADHS Recruitment Requirements for J-1 Waiver Applications
The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) requires sponsoring employers to recruit for U.S. physicians for at least six (6) months prior to making an application for a J-1 waiver. If you are planning to hire a J1 physician for the next fiscal year, you must ensure that you document your company’s recruitment efforts between June 1 and November 30, 2014. Only physicians who provide direct patient care, whether specialty or primary care, are eligible for J-1 waivers.
