ADHS Recruitment Requirements for J-1 Waiver Applications
The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) requires sponsoring employers to recruit for U.S. physicians at least six (6) months prior to making an application for a J-1 waiver. If you are planning to hire a J-1 physician for the next fiscal year, you must ensure that you document your company’s recruitment efforts placed prior to June 3, 2016.
Only physicians who provide direct patient care, whether specialty or primary care, are eligible for J-1 waivers. Please contact our office if you have questions regarding J-1 wavier applications or any other immigration matter.
