USCIS Announces That the H-1B Fiscal Year 2025 Cap Has Been Met

Yesterday, December 2, 2024, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the agency has received sufficient H-1B petitions to reach the 65,000 “regular cap” and the 20,000 “master’s cap” for fiscal year 2025. Accordingly, USCIS issued “Non-Selection Notices” to each registrant who was not picked in this year’s lottery, and the notices appeared in the employer’s and attorney’s online USCIS account. Our firm has notified all registrants whom we represented this year.

We are nearing the next H-1B cap registration period. If you were not selected, your employee was not selected in the 2025 FY, or if you have other employees that wish to register for the 2026 FY H-1B lottery, we encourage you to contact our firm in order to be included in the next H-1B registration.

The H-1B numerical limits are determined by Congress. If your case was not selected this year, we encourage you to reach out to your representatives in Congress and demand comprehensive immigration reform to include an increase in the number of H-1B visas, or a removal of the cap entirely.
